I'm still writing up mini reviews on my empties from January through the end of April...which has convinced me that four month periods are too long for racking up empties! However, it does let me see that I actually use up a lot of products! Here is all the skincare that I finished up in those four months, along with my thoughts!
Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen - I've said it about a thousand times, but I love this sunscreen. It's a total HG for me. Unfortunately, it's been reformulated, and I doubt I'll be able to get my hands on it again. I have two tubes as a backup...but it's still bittersweet.
Freeman Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask - The fact that this mask is $5 and enormous just adds to my love of it. Also, it's green - my favorite color! I love this clay mask because after ten minutes, I get noticeable results. My skin looks clearer, and it helps with any breakouts I may have. I know clay masks aren't for everyone's skin, but I really dig this one. The price is also right if you're looking to start somewhere! I've already repurchased this, it's my second tube.
Shiseido Cottons - These are totally a luxury purchase for me at $10 a pop. However, they are like using clouds on your face. I ONLY use them on my face - these are too expensive for stuff like nail polish removal. Thankfully, I stock up during sales and usually get a pack for Christmas, so that tides me over. I've finished two over four months, and have two packs waiting in the wings.
Cosrx Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask - I enjoyed using this, my skin felt super soft afterwards! It smells just like honey, too. I repurchased this, but I haven't really used it much since it's getting warmer at night, and I don't enjoy sleeping masks when I'm getting sweaty. I love using them in winter, though.
Blossom Jeju Pink Camellia Soombi Essence Serum - I bought this last year birthday treat for myself, along with the LJH Essence also pictured here! This serum was SUPER nice - the packaging felt super luxe and the serum felt lovely on the skin. It also smelled wonderful - light and floral, but not overly so. However, now that I'm out, I don't notice my skin looking any worse, so it's not something I need to have in my routine. Maybe I'll buy it when I want to treat myself, but it isn't a skincare staple for me.
Cosrx Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol - This is my second empty bottle, and I'm now working on a third. I love using this as a toner to help keep acne at bay. It smells strongly of tea tree, which some people dislike, but I don't mind it. I use this mainly in the morning, and then use more powerful exfoliants in the evening.
Simple Makeup Remover Wipes - I honestly don't know how many of these I've gone through. I keep a pack in my gym bag and use them to take my makeup off before a workout. These wipes get most base makeup and eyeshadow off easily, a little scrubbing is needed for liquid/gel liner and mascara. These wipes come in two packs for a deal at Ulta, so I buy two at a time. They getthe job done, and are affordable, so I will keep repurchasing these.
Skinfood Avocado Rich Toner - It took me a while to use up this hydrating toner. I found that it was better for me in winter, when the air is dryer. I like super light layers of hydration, so this was a bit heavy for me. It didn't stand out or really wow me, so I won't be repurchasing it.
LJH Tea Tree 90 Essence - Fortunately from my aforementioned birthday treat, I got a product I really loved! This bottle of essence lasted a long time - I use 2-3 drops every morning after toner. I like what this done for my skin in terms of redness and oil control. I've already purchased and begun using a second bottle. I got the new bottle on Amazon, where it's a little bit cheaper.
Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream - Yet another product where I have no idea how many tubes I've finished. I love this stuff! I use it as a second moisturizer as an extra layer of hydration with the benefits of snail. It helps calm and heal breakouts, and give my skin a little extra hydrated plumpness in the mornings. I also found two packs of these on Amazon for less than ten dollars! I've already broken open another tube, with a second waiting.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel - This is the one skincare item that has stayed with me over many, many years. Even with diving headfirst into Korean beauty products, I still keep a bottle of this around. It's super light and sinks in quickly, which my oily skin loves. I keep a bottle next to the sink, and in my travel bag as well. I don't see myself ceasing to use this anytime soon. I wholeheartedly recommend this for anyone with oily skin looking for a light final moisturizer. As a bonus, the pump bottle is excellent!
Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence - MY first bottle of this! It's constantly raved about, and I can see why! The essence is a little thick, but it absorbs into the skin nicely, and I definitely notice the benefits of quicker acne healing and reduced redness when I use it. I am looking to purchase another bottle once I finish up some other products.
Boscia MakeUp BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil - This product did not impress me, which is disappointing, because I love most products from boscia. I didn't get a cooling sensation from this, and it wasn't the best at removing my eye makeup. I'll stick with my cheaper options that actually get the job done.
Re:cipe Green Tea Slowganic Cleanser - I really liked this product aside from one thing - the packaging. The packaging is super cumbersome, although really cute. The cleanser itself is a really fun texture - it's a solid, but a squishy solid - like a marshmallow! A little goes a long way and foams up nicely, and didn't leave my skin feeling stripped. I have some other cleansers waiting, but I could see myself repurchasing this one.
I'm really glad I actually use up as many products as I do, it gives me a chance to try even more things! Especially with skincare, there is SO MUCH variety out there, it can get really overwhelming. Hopefully I'll have more skincare empties to talk about sooner rather than later.
