All of the swatches shown were over bare skin, two or three swipes using the sponge applicators provided for swatching at the store. Most of the shdaes are pretty pigmented and smooth, a few seemed to be powdery (check on the palette, it seemed quite new.) That black shade is lacking, though. I already have my matte neutral palette bases covered pretty well in my collection with the Urban Decay Naked Basics 1 and 2, as well as the Saucebox Etude palette, but if you're in the market, this may be a great item to pick up, especially with the upcoming Beauty Insider sale!
Hmmm, on one hand, these are gorgeous warm-toned neutrals. On the other... do I really need more neutrals?
